What’s the latest on the Malnad Region?

The first thing to know is that the Malhath region of India is currently under a state of emergency declared by the Union government in the wake of the attack on the Indian Parliament in February.
The situation is currently on hold as the government has declared that the state of Emergency will continue until all areas affected by the attack have been fully recovered.
This is in addition to the state that has been declared for the state and district of the state where the attack took place.
The emergency declaration has since been lifted.
Malnads new minister of state for development and development activities, Arun Shourie, had on Friday said that the region was in a state that was under the Emergency and that the government would “continue to support the Malindi people and the state government to ensure that the area remains safe”.
The region has a total population of around 12 million people.
In January, the Indian government announced the construction of a Rs 1.2 billion mega project to upgrade the area.
The project is set to begin by March 2020.
