Nairobi’s metro stations will be converted into luxury hotels

Kenya’s first metro station will open in Nairobia on August 18, 2016, with prices beginning at $3,500 for a room and $9,000 for a suite.
A total of 24 new hotels will be built for the new metro station in the city.
Nairobian Tourism and Development Authority has started the conversion process, which is scheduled to take about two months.
The converted stations will become luxury hotels with rooms starting at $15,000 per person and suites starting at about $40,000.
Natal Mayor Kwame Nkrumah said in a press release that the conversion of the old metro station was done with the goal of enhancing the city’s cultural and tourist value.
The metro station’s design will be completely renovated with a modern design with contemporary architecture and a high-end interior.
It will be an eye-catching addition to Nairobia’s skyline, Nkrumsah said.
